Tustin HS and Pacific HS invited to 2012 EI3

High school race teams at Tustin High School and Pacifica High School have completed vehicles that they will enter in the 2012 Energy Invitational at Adams Motorsports Park. These vehicles were presented and reviewed at the 2012 Youth Expo at the Orange County Fairgrounds on April 13. As a result of their quality work these teams have been invited to join this years Energy Invitational.

Update: UC Davis race team to join 2012 EI3

UC Davis will travel south to join in the May 20, 2012 Energy Invitational. Their hybrid race car was designed to compete at the FSAE Hybrid competition in New Hampshire.

Adjustable spinal implant

Brandon Tsuge and Tim Rasmussen developed this concept for an adjustable spinal implant. The six-bar linkage provides 5mm of movement to accommodate a patient’s adaptation to the implant.

400 seniors in majors across UCI’s Henry Samueli School of Engineering presented posters describing over 70 senior projects. Over 140 volunteers from Engineering student clubs set-up, cooked, served, and cleaned-up the BBQ in UCI’s Engineering Plaza.
